About Lakeside High School Orchestra

The orchestra program at Lakeside High School has been an important part of the school’s fine arts community for many years. Alongside band, chorus, and other ensembles, the orchestra gives students the chance to grow as musicians while learning how to work together and express themselves through music.
The Lakeside Orchestra program offers three levels of ensembles: Intermediate Orchestra, Advanced Orchestra, and Mastery Orchestra. These groups allow students to grow at their own pace, from building foundational skills to performing more advanced and challenging repertoire.
Over time, the program has developed into an active and engaging part of student life. Our orchestras perform regular concerts throughout the year and take part in school and community events, helping build a strong and supportive music culture.
The Lakeside Orchestra focuses on building strong technique, ensemble skills, and musical understanding. Students perform a wide range of music, from classical to contemporary works, and are encouraged to enjoy music not just in school, but as something they can carry with them for life.
Today, the program continues to grow, with multiple ensembles supporting students at different levels. We are proud to create a positive, challenging, and welcoming environment where students can develop their skills, gain confidence, and share their music with others.
